Our kidneys

Our kidneys are as important as any of our other organs. Without our kidneys we cannot live. It is therefore important to protect them and to know how they work. Every day, our kidneys clean our blood and thus prevent us from blood poisoning. Still, kidneys can also fail. There are a number of kidney diseases that can damage our kidneys temporarily or permanently and which may also lead to the development of  various co-morbidities.
